What Are You Ready to Forgive?
Our deeply ingrained beliefs aren’t always productive. Sometimes, they’re rooted in fear that keeps us attached to what we know, even when the familiar path won’t allow us to grow.
Changing this requires a willingness to dig deep inside yourself. And most people would rather do just about anything else!
That’s why today, I want to share one of my all-time favorite practices: a meditation for self-compassion and self-forgiveness.
August 2026 Angel Card Pull – Education, Purification, and Birth
Now that 2026 is more than halfway over, it's a good time to reflect on what's working for you and what you need to intentionally let go of to make room for new and refreshing energies. Otherwise, it's easy to fall back on familiar patterns that may no longer align with the wisdom you've gained over the past year. Here’s how to begin.
Cultivating Compassion by Trading Assumptions for Curiosity
Imagine what we could learn by approaching ourselves and others with more compassion. Here are a few practices for cultivating more of it.
July 2026 Angel Card Pull – Gratitude, Commitment, and Compassion
As we’ve become culturally fluent in “therapy-speak,” we’ve learned how to sound self-aware without doing the deeper work of integration. This month, gratitude calls us into the present, commitment helps us align with our values, and compassion connects us with our shared humanity.
Health Benefits of Connection and Mindfulness
Strong social connections help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, decrease inflammation, and support long-term health. Few things have a greater impact on our health and well-being than relationships.
What Loss Has Taught Me About Presence
The more that falls away, the more clearly we see what matters, and the fewer distractions we have from what’s right in front of us. You don’t have to wait to be present. You can simply practice shifting your focus today. Spend a few minutes more each day than the day before to be here now.

Revisiting Your Intention for the Year
Now that we’re a quarter of the way through the year, it’s a good time to revisit your intention.
If you created one in January, ask yourself: does it still resonate? What needs to evolve?
If you haven’t set an intention yet, reflect on what you want to carry forward this spring and beyond.

What Valentine’s Day Teaches Us About Love

How to Set an Intention
Every January, I pause to take stock of the previous year to integrate what I want to bring forward and release what I don’t. I also make space to acknowledge what I’ve accomplished. This grounds me in gratitude and allows me to meet the year ahead with an open heart and fresh eyes.

The Antidote to Overconsumption
Today, we’ll reflect on the antidote to overconsumption, which is to find your center.
Ponder the following:
Notice the sensation of consuming. Am I chasing a feeling?
Consider what you’re consuming. Where did it come from? Whose hands made it?
Will having this create the effect I’m hoping for? Is this where I want to put my time, energy, and money?
What and who matters most to me?

The Spirit of Aloha
I just got back from the beautiful Island of Hawaiʻi, a place very close to my heart and my work. In the mid 90’s, I taught workshops here built on the theory of Aloha. We’d root into flow, transformation, and healing through the spirit of Aloha on the Big Island with its active volcano, Kilauea, where Pele, the fire goddess, lives.
Aloha means the presence (alo) of breath (ha). Aloha is the breath of life. In Hawaiian culture, the spirit of Aloha means to live in the presence of the breath—in unity, kindness, humility, and peace. The Aloha Spirit Law was enacted in Hawaii in 1986 to encourage officials and citizens to act with this spirit.

Freedom – Freedom lives inside me.

Building Power and Letting Go
In this month’s angel card practice, we explored how to find true power within ourselves. Our third card was Birth, which reminds us that we’re the inventors of our own lives. We each have the ability to bring new ideas and approaches into being, see them through to completion, and learn from the past along the way. What we release becomes the compost for what’s next.
