The Original Superhero

This Father’s Day, I want to share my deepest gratitude for my partner in life and business, Kirk Cook. In addition to being an accomplished clinician, he’s also an extraordinary stepdad to my daughter, Sofia. And he’s an absolutely steadfast presence in both of our lives.

As SDG Heal’s hypnotherapist, Kirk has supported hundreds of individuals, couples, and families with the utmost skill and compassion. He’s also had a profound impact on our personal lives. Kirk helped heal two broken hearts when Sofia and I were going through an incredibly difficult period of life. He continues to be a bright spot every day. He’s the one who keeps us laughing, picks up the slack, and ensures we get to and from wherever we need to go.

Beyond his clinical work, he’s also a master painter and former professional contractor who’s poured years of care into our home and office. From building decks to redesigning rooms, repainting walls again and again, and taking care of all the little things at the office, Kirk helps bring my visions to life.

Thank you, Kirk, for being our rock.

My own dad passed in 2016, which has been one of the most devastating losses I’ve ever had to face. He carried me through so many firsts, and helped shape the values that guide me today, from my work ethic, sense of loyalty, and my love for my family. I’m endlessly grateful to him for all he gave me, and to Kirk, for carrying the torch forward with Sofia.
