Peace Begins with Acceptance
The first card I pulled for our angel card practice this month was Acceptance.
Acceptance is an essential part of our mission at SDG Heal. Only through acceptance can we find peace of mind, which is why I want to explore it more deeply with you today.
As many of you know, I’ve been writing meditations for decades. I approach them much like writing poetry or song lyrics, as a creative offering from the heart.
Here’s an ode to acceptance, drawn from some of my past meditations:
Picture a mirror in front of you. This mirror reflects the radiance, love, acceptance, and wholeness of the heart. Feel this reflection expanding within you in all directions.
Now, imagine pressing a blue button that releases a cascade of pure light. This light represents non-resistance and acceptance. It flows from the top of your head, down your body, and into the core of the Earth.
With this cascade of light, you release any resistance, tension, and tightness that you may be feeling in your mind, body, or actions.
Sit with this practice each morning or evening. Remember that each time you press that blue button, you’ll feel acceptance washing over you.
Why this practice?
Because acceptance creates more space for peace, joy, and connection. It allows us to neutralize negative feelings and emotions, forgive ourselves and others for the past, and move more freely in the world.
There is very little in life we can control. When we surrender, we release the weight of what was never ours to carry.
I’ll leave you with this question:
What do you need to accept to be more at peace?
You already know the answer.
