May 2025 Angel Card Pull – Love, Respect, and Contentment
Here’s how the three-card pull works:
First Card: Reflects on lessons from the past and what you’re taking stock in.
Second Card: Focuses on what you’re cultivating in the present.
Third Card: Represents the outcome of aligning past and present energies. Past + present = the outcome.
May 2025 Cards
Love – I create from a pathway of love.
Respect – I respect the inherent value of all beings.
Contentment – I am content with what is.
About the Cards
Love
There are two pathways to creating. You can either choose the path of love or the path of fear. I have a sign in my yoga studio that says, What would LOVE do? Choose Love!
It’s a daily invitation. Because choosing love is an active process. It’s helpful to remind ourselves to choose love because fear is so prevalent in our entertainment, news, and social media. Fear spreads because it gets the fastest, strongest reaction.
But love is deliberate. It requires you to breathe and take a moment to ask yourself, What would love do in this moment? Love activates powerful neurochemicals that shift our emotional state, generating connection, euphoria, and peace. When you create from love, you align with your soul's purpose.
Practice: Ask yourself the simple questions, What would love say? and What would love do? Simply taking a moment to reflect on these questions can change your experience of your entire day.
Affirmation: I create from a pathway of love.
Breathe in: I am breathing in love.
Breathe out: I am breathing out love.
Respect
Respect means having regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others, even when they’re different from yours. When you respect someone, you recognize their inherent value, acknowledging their humanity. You listen even when you disagree, and offer curiosity instead of contempt.
Practice: Think of someone you respect, despite disagreeing about something that feels meaningful. Reflect on how their perspective has stretched your own. Write down 1–3 ways their view has opened you up. For a few minutes, sit quietly with what you’ve discovered, dedicating a short meditation to them.
Affirmation: I respect the inherent value of all beings.
Breathe in: I am breathing in respect.
Breathe out: I am breathing out respect.
Contentment
Contentment is a feeling of satisfaction with what is. Being at peace with yourself cultivates contentment. We practice being at peace by embracing presence and surrendering to that which we can’t control.
Practice: Set aside 10–15 minutes each day to simply be without an agenda or distractions. Sit, breathe, and allow life to move around you. When your attention wanders to things that are outside of your control, bring your attention back to the moment and to your breath.
Affirmation: I am content with what is.
Breathe in: I am breathing in contentment.
Breathe out: I am breathing out contentment.
So, what would love do today? This May, let’s keep love at the center of everything we do.
